Technical aspectsĪeon Drive has colourful two-dimensional graphics made in pixel art technique. She controls well in-game and her actions are certainly intuitive, so it’s a lot of fun pulling off these swift manoeuvres as you make your way to the exit. As our actions are judged by the scoring system, which encourages us to polish our skills and improve the results, the game is characterized by high replayability. It’s easy to compare Aeon Drive to the likes of Super Meat Boy or N+ in many ways, with levels designed to encourage players to bounce their way around like they’re an acrobatic ninja. This is complicated by the fact that we have a limited time to complete a given stage however, we can increase the stock with the help of the capsules we get along the way. As we walk through them, we jump on platforms and avoid countless traps, lasers, spikes and circular saws, we destroy selected field obstacles with the help of the heroine's great sword, and we teleport ourselves at short distances, making use of a special dagger. The game consists of more than eighty levels, among which we can find places associated with Barcelona, headed by Las Ramblas and Park Güell, or even Arc de Triomf and Torre Glories.
